MEMORANDUM OPINION

Original Mandamus Proceeding PER CURIAM Sitting: Sandee Bryan Marion, Chief Justice Rebeca C. Martinez, Justice Luz Elena D. Chapa, Justice PETITION FOR WRIT OF MANDAMUS DENIED

This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 2004CR2860A, styled State of Texas v. Arthur Lee Perkins, pending in the 175th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas, the Honorable Catherine Torres-Stahl presiding.

On April 3, 2017, Relator filed a pro se petition for writ of mandamus seeking an order directing the trial court to rule on Relator's motions for appointment of counsel and "for preservation and forensic testing of DNA." The court has considered the petition and is of the opinion Relator is not entitled to the relief sought. Accordingly, the petition for writ of mandamus is denied. See TEX. R. APP. P. 52.8(a).
