Petition for Allowance of Appeal from the Order of the Superior Court
ORDER
PER CURIAM
AND NOW, this 6th day of January, 2025, the Petition for Allowance of Appeal is GRANTED. The issue, as stated by petitioner, is:
(1) Whether the Superior Court misapplied and misapprehended the essential holding of In re: Adoption of M.E.L., 298 A.3d 118 (Pa. 2023) and erred in failing to recognize that § 2901 of the Adoption Act manifested the intent of the General Assembly to allow a trial court, interacting with the parties on the front lines, to use its measured discretion to override the Adoption Act's legal requirements in a particular case upon a showing of cause, particularly where public policy significantly supports the importance of protecting children, whenever possible. (See Concurring and Dissenting Opinion of Justice Wecht, In re M.E.L. (Pa. 2023); see In. re M.R.D., 145 A.3d 1117 (Pa. 2016); see In re Adoption of R.B.F., 803 A.2d 1195 (Pa. 2002)[)].
