IN THE MATTER OF A.P., A JUVENILE

On Appeal from the 305th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. JD-23-00824-X.

ORDER

ROBERT D. BURNS, III, CHIEF JUSTICE.

Appellant's brief in this case is overdue. By postcard dated April 30, 2024, the Court notified counsel appellant's brief was overdue and directed her to file a brief within ten days. To date, counsel has not filed a brief nor otherwise corresponded with the Court concerning the status of appellant's brief.

So that this appeal can proceed, we ORDER counsel to file a brief and an extension motion that complies with Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 10.1(a) within TEN DAYS of the date of this order. If counsel fails to do so, we will order the trial court to conduct a hearing to determine why appellant's brief has not been filed and if appointment of new counsel is necessary to ensure appellant receives effective representation. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.8(2).
