On Appeal from the 202nd District Court Bowie County, Texas Trial Court No. 20F0877-202

Before Morriss, C.J., Burgess and Stevens, JJ.

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Ralph K. Burgess, Justice

After a Bowie County jury found Derrick Harper guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child, the trial court sentenced him to life in prison. On appeal, Harper contends he received ineffective assistance of counsel because counsel (1) failed to file any pretrial motions and (2) failed to cross-examine any of the State's witnesses. We addressed these issues in detail in our opinion of this date in Harper's appeal in our cause number 06-20-00130-CR. For the reasons stated therein, we likewise conclude that error has not been shown in this case.

During the same proceeding, Harper was also convicted of two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child. He appeals those convictions in our cause numbers 06-20-00130-CR and 06-20-00131-CR.

We affirm the judgment of the trial court.
