The petition for leave to appeal is allowed. In the exercise of this court's supervisory jurisdiction, the judgment of the Appellate Court, First District, in People v. Edwards, No. 83-2990 (Rule 23 order), is affirmed in part and reversed in part. We reverse the court's determination regarding the need for a presentence report and the propriety of defendants' sentences.
( People v. Harris (1985), 105 Ill.2d 290.) In all other respects, the decision is affirmed. The cause is remanded to the circuit court of Cook County for resentencing in light of this court's decision in People v. Harris (1985), 105 Ill.2d 290.
