Pulaski Veneer Corp.Download PDFNational Labor Relations Board - Board DecisionsMar 10, 193911 N.L.R.B. 1086 (N.L.R.B. 1939) Copy Citation In the Matter of PULASKI VENEER CORPORATION and UNrrED BROTH- ERHOOD OF CARPENTERS & JOINERS OF AMERICA, LOCAL UNION #1862 Cases Nos. 8-616 and C-555 SECOND AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION March 10, 1939 On December 3, 1938, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election 1 in the above-entitled proceeding, the election to be held within fifteen (15) days from the date of Direction, under the direction and super- vision of the Regional Director for the Fifth Region (Baltimore, Maryland). On December 10, 1938, the Board issued an Amendment to Direction of Election 2 extending the period within which the, election should be conducted to such time as the Board might in the future direct. The aforesaid Direction of Election, as amended, is hereby amended so as to provide as follows: By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Section 8, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 1, as amended, it is hereby DIRECTED that, as part of the investigation authorized by the Board to ascertain representatives for the purposes of collective bargaining with Pulaski Veneer Corporation, an election by secret ballot shall be conducted within forty-five (45) days from the date of this Second Amendment to Direction of Election, under the direction and super- vision of the Regional Director for the Fifth Region, acting in this matter as agent of the National Labor Relations Board, and subject to Article III, Section 9, of said Rules and Regulations, among all the employees of Pulaski Veneer Corporation who were employed during the pay-roll period next preceding the date of the issuance of this Second Amendment to Direction of Election, excluding super- visory, clerical, and office 'employees and those who quit or were dis- 110 N.
