CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES
October 16, 1939
On September 16, 1939, the National Labor Relations Board, herein
called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the
above-entitled proceedings. The Direction of Election directed that
an election by secret ballot be conducted among all the production
employees of Princely Products, Inc., Cohoes, New York, who were
employed during the pay-roll period last preceding the date of the
Direction, including any who did not work during that period because
they were ill or on vacation and any who were then or have since been
temporarily laid off, excluding supervisors, foremen, porters, office
and clerical help, shipping and receiving clerks, salesmen, executives,
and machinists, and any employees who have since quit or been dis-
charged for cause, to determine whether they desired to be represented
by American Federation of Labor, Local 21514, or by United Shoe
Workers of America, Joint Council No. 13, C. I. 0., or by neither, for
the purposes of collective bargaining.
Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot
was conducted on September 27, 1939, under the direction and super-
vision of the Regional Director for the Second Region, New York
City. On September 28, 1939, the Regional. Director, acting pursuant
to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules
and Regulations-Series 2, issued and duly served upon the parties
an Election Report.
The Regional Director reported the following results of the ballot:

No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report
have been filed by any of the parties.
By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National
Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela-
tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9,
of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2,
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that United Shoe Workers of America,
Joint Council No. 13, C. I. 0., has been designated and selected by a
majority of the production employees of Princely Products, Inc.,
Cohoes, New York, excluding supervisors, foremen, porters, office and
clerical help, shipping and receiving clerks, salesmen, executives, and
machinists, as their representative for purposes of collective bargain-
ing, and pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, United Shoe Workers
of America, Joint Council No. 13, C. I. 0., is the exclusive representa-
tive of all such employees for the purpose of collective bargaining
in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other
conditions of employment.
