Section 53B-35-301 - Higher education student advisors(1) A degree-granting institution of higher education providing education to inmates in a correctional facility shall provide relevant academic and career advising services that are substantially similar to services provided to a student who is not a confined or incarcerated individual.(2) Each participating institution of higher education described in Subsection (1) shall report annually to the council regarding the guidance and support provided.Added by Chapter 144, 2024 General Session ,§ 5, eff. 5/1/2024.
