Section 55.039 - Recordation of Order(a) After the commissioners court makes and enters in its minutes the order creating the district or an order changing the name of a district, the court shall file a certified copy of the order accompanied by a plat defining the district boundaries with the county clerk.(b) The county clerk shall have the certified copy of the order and the plat recorded and indexed in the deed records of the county.(c) Recordation of the order and plat has the same effect, as to notice, as the recordation of a deed.(d) The district shall pay the cost of making and recording the certified copy of the order and the plat.Amended by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 187, Sec. 5, eff. 9/1/1991.
