Section 1064.060 - Appointment of Staff; Employees(a) The board may appoint doctors to the staff as the board considers necessary for the efficient operation of the district and may make temporary appointments to the staff if warranted.(b) The board may employ physicians or other health care providers as the board considers necessary for the efficient operation of the district.(c) The district may employ fiscal agents, accountants, architects, and attorneys as the board considers proper.(d) The board may delegate to the district administrator the authority to employ technicians, nurses, and other district employees, except physicians.(e) This section does not authorize the board to supervise or control the practice of medicine, as prohibited by Subtitle B, Title 3, Occupations Code.Tex.
