Section 702.553 - Amount of Civil Penalty(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b) and Section 702.554, a person who violates this chapter is subject to a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $1,000 for a single violation.(b) If more than one civil penalty is assessed against the same person, the total amount of civil penalties assessed may not exceed $25,000.
