Section 651.004 - Regulation of Crematory Services(a) The commission shall regulate crematory services as provided by this chapter and Chapter 716, Health and Safety Code.(b) The commission may not regulate crematory services that occur after burial or inurnment unless the services relate to the care and treatment of the remains in an urn, casket, or outer enclosure.Amended by Acts 2019, Texas Acts of the 86th Leg.- Regular Session, ch. 124,Sec. 9, eff. 9/1/2019.Added by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 562, Sec. 4, eff. 9/1/2003.
