Section 841.704 - False Statement, Report, or Other Document; Criminal Penalty(a) A person commits an offense if the person executes or causes to be executed a statement, report, or other document required by law to be filed with the commissioner that contains a material statement or fact that the person knows to be false.(b) A person commits an offense if the person is an officer of an insurance company that is not organized under the laws of this state and the person files a statement, report, or other document required by law to be filed with the commissioner that contains a material statement or fact that the person knows to be false.(c) An offense under this section is punishable by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for a term of not less than one year.Amended By Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 87, Sec. 25.120, eff. 9/1/2009.Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff. 6/1/2003.
