Section 25.1762 - Nacogdoches County Court At Law Provisions(a) In addition to the jurisdiction provided by Section 25.0003 and other law, a county court at law in Nacogdoches County has concurrent jurisdiction with the district court in family law cases and proceedings.(b) Repealed by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., 1st C.S., Ch. 3, Sec. 4.50(a)(68), eff. January 1, 2012.(c) Repealed by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 746, Sec. 70, eff. Oct. 1, 1991.(d) A judge of a county court at law shall be paid an annual salary that is at least $15,000 but not more than 90 percent of the total annual salary paid to the judge of the 145th Judicial District. The salary shall be paid out of the county treasury on orders from the commissioners court. A county court at law judge is entitled to reasonable travel expenses and necessary office expenses, including administrative and clerical assistance.(e) Repealed by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., 1st C.S., Ch. 3, Sec. 4.50(a)(68), eff. January 1, 2012.(f-1) The district clerk serves as clerk of a county court at law in cases enumerated in Subsections (a)(2)(B) and (C), and the county clerk serves as clerk of a county court at law in all other cases.(g) The official reporter of a county court at law is entitled to receive a salary that does not exceed the salary of the official reporter of the district court. The judge of the county court at law sets the salary. The salary shall be paid out of the county treasury on order of the commissioners court.(h) Repealed by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., 1st C.S., Ch. 3, Sec. 4.50(a)(68), eff. January 1, 2012.(i) In matters of concurrent jurisdiction with the district court, if a party to a suit files a written request for a 12-member jury with the clerk of the county court at law at a reasonable time that is not later than 30 days before the date the suit is set for trial, the jury shall be composed of 12 members.Tex.
