Section 29-13-301 - Part definitionsAs used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) "Commission" means the Tennessee claims commission created pursuant to § 9-8-301;(2) "Criminal injuries compensation award" means the compensation awarded pursuant to part 1 of this chapter;(3) "Division" means the division of claims and risk management created pursuant to § 9-8-401;(4) "Guardian ad litem" means a responsible adult appointed by the juvenile court to protect the rights and interests of the minor;(5) "Juvenile court" means the court having juvenile court jurisdiction in the county where the minor resides; and(6) "Minor" means any person who has not attained eighteen (18) years of age and who has not been otherwise emancipated.Acts 1993, ch. 494, § 1; 1994, ch. 808, § 1.
