Section 4553 - Conduct of agency without license; violation of act; penalty

Any person who shall open or conduct an employment agency, in any city of the first or second class, without procuring a license as required by this act, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, on conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty nor more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment not exceeding one year, or both, at the discretion of the court.

Any licensed or other person who violates any of the provisions of this act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, on conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment for not more than one year, or both, at the discretion of the court.
