Section 701.269 - Residential general master builder certification program; requirements; standards; fees; rules
(1)
(a) The Construction Contractors Board may establish a voluntary certification program for a residential general master builder of vertical homeownership structures and other structures and may define a vertical homeownership structure by rule. At a minimum, the certification program must provide education, training, assessment and evaluation of individuals with respect to the individuals' knowledge of and skills in:
(A) Foundations;
(B) Roofing;
(C) Wall construction;
(D) Siding installation; and
(E) Energy systems.
(b) The board may specify certification standards that differ by the type of structure in which the master builder may specialize, in the qualifications necessary to obtain certification in each type of structure and in education and training standards necessary to qualify for each type of certification.
(2) The board may adopt rules to implement the provisions of this section and may establish and charge to applicants for certification any fees that are necessary to pay the expenses of administering the certification program under this section.
