Section 341.535 - Qualifications of faculty; appraisal(1) Community college faculty are not required to have teaching licenses.(2) Notwithstanding ORS 342.173, community college faculty who provide instruction in cooperation with a school district for academic, career and technical education, school-to-work or other work-related programs under ORS chapter 329 are not required to have teaching licenses. If the faculty member is not a regular full-time employee of the community college, the school district shall follow the instructor appraisal committee procedures adopted by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission.(3) Until a community college becomes accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities or its successor, the board shall obtain the approval of the accredited community college with which it contracts for curriculum and instructional services before employing any person to teach transfer courses.
