Section 2-112 - Authority to grant or refuse applications - Confiscation of documents
A. The Department shall examine and determine the genuineness, regularity and legality of every application lawfully made to the Department, and may in all cases make investigation as may be deemed necessary or require additional information, and shall reject any such application if not satisfied of the genuineness, regularity or legality thereof or the truth of any statement contained therein, or for any other reason, when authorized by law. If a person making application to the Department presents any document to the Department which the Department has reason to believe is false, fraudulent, or being used by a person not authorized to use such document, the Department shall confiscate the document until such time it is determined by the Department whether the document is false, fraudulent, or being used by a person not authorized to use such document.
B. Service Oklahoma shall examine and determine the genuineness, regularity, and legality of every application, driver license, and any other application lawfully made to Service Oklahoma, and may in all cases make investigation as may be deemed necessary or require additional information, and shall reject any such application if not satisfied of the genuineness, regularity, or legality thereof or the truth of any statement contained therein, or for any other reason, when authorized by law. If a person making application to Service Oklahoma presents any document to Service Oklahoma which Service Oklahoma has reason to believe is false, fraudulent, or being used by a person not authorized to use such document, Service Oklahoma shall confiscate the document until such time is determined by Service Oklahoma whether the document is false, fraudulent, or being used by a person not authorized to use such document.
