Okla. Stat. tit. 12A, § 2-210
Oklahoma Code Comment
There has been very little previous law in Oklahoma on assignment of contracts, particularly upon the limitations, if any, thereof. Assignments are authorized by a previous statute, 60 Okl.St.Ann. § 313. Minnetonka Oil Co. v. Cleveland Vitrified Brick Co., 27 Okl. 180, 111 P. 326 (1910), held that a contract to supply gas was assignable by the vendee. The court made reference to the rule that a contract which does not involve particular skill or confidential relationship is assignable. This concept is maintained by the Commercial Code, and therefore the first four paragraphs of this section are compatible with existing law. Paragraph (5), however, is new and is one of the innovations of the Commercial Code.
