Any person who sells or transfers a property in an airport safety zone delineated under the "Air Safety and Zoning Act of 1983," P.L. 1983, c.260 (C.6:1-80 et seq.) and appearing in a municipal map used for tax purposes pursuant to subsection b. of section 11 of this 1991 amendatory and supplementary act, shall provide notice to a prospective buyer that the property is located in an airport safety zone prior to the signing of a contract of sale. Failure to provide notice required by this section may result in the suspension or revocation of the person's license to engage in real estate sales in this State or other appropriate disciplinary action by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission in the case of a person subject to the jurisdiction of the commission.
