Section 39:2A-19 - Removal of member

Each appointed member of the board may be removed from office by the Governor for cause, after a public hearing and may be suspended by the Governor pending the completion of the hearing. Before assuming the duties of board membership, each member shall take and subscribe an oath to perform the duties of the office faithfully, impartially and justly to the best of the member's ability. A record of the oaths shall be filed in the office of the Secretary of State.

Added by L. 2003, c. 13, s. 19, eff. on the date the Commissioner of Transportation certifies to the Governor that a majority of the members of the commission have been appointed or are in office and that all necessary anticipatory actions have been accomplished, provided, that the amount of revenues received pursuant to sections 109 and 110 of chapter 13 prior to the date of certification are hereby appropriated to the division.
