Section 696B.280 - Uniform Insurers Liquidation Act and Insurer Receivership Model Act: Composition; severability; interpretation1. This section, NRS 696B.030 to 696B.180, inclusive, (definitions) and NRS 696B.290 to 696B.340, inclusive, comprise the Uniform Insurers Liquidation Act and the Insurer Receivership Model Act.2. If any provision of the NAIC Acts or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the NAIC Acts which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of the NAIC Acts are declared to be severable.3. The NAIC Acts shall be so interpreted as to effectuate the general purpose to make uniform the laws of those states which enact the Uniform Insurers Liquidation Act or the Insurer Receivership Model Act. To the extent that the provisions of the NAIC Acts, when applicable, conflict with other provisions of this Code, the provisions of the NAIC Acts shall control.4.
