Section 450B.470 - "Qualified patient" defined "Qualified patient" means:
1. A patient 18 years of age or older who has been determined by the patient's attending physician or attending advanced practice registered nurse to be in a terminal condition and who: (a) Has executed a declaration in accordance with the requirements of NRS 449A.433;(b) Has executed a Provider Order for Life-Sustaining Treatment form pursuant to NRS 449A.500 to 449A.581, inclusive, if the form provides that the patient is not to receive life-resuscitating treatment; or(c) Has been issued a do-not-resuscitate order pursuant to NRS 450B.510.2. A patient who is less than 18 years of age and who:(a) Has been determined by the patient's attending physician or attending advanced practice registered nurse to be in a terminal condition; and(b) Has executed a Provider Order for Life-Sustaining Treatment form pursuant to NRS 449A.500 to 449A.581, inclusive, if the form provides that the patient is not to receive life-resuscitating treatment or has been issued a do-not-resuscitate order pursuant to NRS 450B.510.Added to NRS by 1997, 288; A 2001, 815; 2013, 2290; 2017, 462, 1768Amended by 2017, Ch. 318,§74, eff. 1/1/2018.Amended by 2017, Ch. 104,§22, eff. 7/1/2017.
