Section 268.626 - Annexation commission: Creation in certain counties; number and selection of members; transfer of duties to regional planning commission1. There is hereby created, in each county of the State whose population is 100,000 or more and less than 700,000, a city annexation commission which consists of members to be selected as follows: (a) Two members representing the county, one of whom must be the chair of the board of county commissioners and the other a member of the board to be chosen by the board.(b) One member representing each city, who must be a member of the governing body to be chosen by the governing body.(c) If the provisions of paragraphs (a) and (b) result in an even number of members, the Governor shall appoint an additional member who is the chair of the regional planning commission.2.
