Section 178.538 - Commitment of defendant on order when defendant fails to appear for judgment; if order issued for other cause, defendant may be admitted to bail1. If the order recites, as the grounds upon which it is made, the failure of the defendant to appear for judgment upon conviction, the defendant must be committed according to the requirement of the order.2.
