Section 50-15-407 - Disinterment permit(1) A body, after burial, may be disinterred for reinterment or transport after a permit is obtained from the local registrar of the jurisdiction where the body is interred.(2) Administration of this section is in the department, which shall adopt rules accordingly. The rules shall provide that, as a precondition to the permit, the applicant make a showing of reasonable cause for the disinterment.(3) This section provides a supplementary procedure for disinterment of a dead body and is not amendatory to or repealing of any other act.En.
