Section 28-1-301 - [Effective on occurrence of contingency] Types of obligations involving several persons

Except as provided in 27-1-703 and 27-1-705, an obligation imposed upon several persons or a right created in favor of several persons may be:

(1) joint;
(2) several; or
(3) joint and several.
