Section 41-59-59 - Funds for support and maintenance of districts(1) The board of supervisors of any county of the state participating in the establishment of an emergency medical service district under the provisions of Section 41-59-51 and related statutes of the Mississippi Code of 1972 may set aside, appropriate and expend moneys from the general fund for the support and maintenance of the district. In the event the district is comprised of more than one (1) county, the contributions for support and maintenance may be made on a per capita basis.(2) Emergency medical service districts may borrow funds in anticipation of the receipt of tax monies as otherwise provided by law for counties or municipalities.Laws, 1975, ch. 455; Laws, 1986, ch. 400, § 27, eff. 10/1/1986.
