Section 35.1253 - Veterans cemetery; purchase, acquisition, or designation of land(1) The department may acquire and purchase land in a county with a population of not less than 12,500 and not greater than 13,500 that is suitable for a veterans cemetery or designate land owned by this state under the jurisdiction of the department in a county with a population of not less than 12,500 and not greater than 13,500 as a veterans cemetery.(2) The director shall apply for and accept all grants available under 38 USC 2408.Added by 2022, Act 267,s 3, eff. 12/22/2022.
