Section 324.6518 - Testing station; change of ownership; notice(1) If the ownership of a testing station changes, a new original license and payment of a new license fee is required, and the station shall not operate until its application is approved by the department. For the purposes of this section, "change of ownership" means a change in the ownership of a station which is either a sole proprietorship or a partnership; the replacement of a sole proprietorship with a partnership, a corporation, or another sole proprietorship; the replacement of a partnership with a sole proprietorship, a corporation, or another partnership; or the replacement of a corporation with a sole proprietorship, a partnership, or another corporation.(2) A corporation shall notify the department within 30 days of a change in ownership that involves the accumulation of 25% or more of the ownership by a person who did not previously own 25% or more of the corporation.Add. 1995, Act 60, Imd.
