Section 46:288.2 - DefinitionsAs used in this Subpart, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
(1) "Court" means the court that exercised juvenile jurisdiction over the child in need of care proceedings involving the youth prior to his eighteenth birthday.(2) "Department" means the Department of Children and Family Services.(3) "Youth" means an individual who was adjudicated as a child in need of care, was in foster care in the department's custody on the day before his eighteenth birthday, and is at least eighteen years of age but less than twenty-one years of age.
