Section 11:2232 - Limitations of membershipA. No other provisions of law in any other statute which provides wholly or partly at the expense of the State of Louisiana for pensions or retirement benefits for employees of the several parishes or any parish of the State of Louisiana, their widows, or other dependents, shall apply to members or beneficiaries of the retirement system established by this Chapter, their widows or other dependents.B. Any member of this system who is also a member of the Sheriffs' Retirement System because of separate employment and pay by the sheriff may continue his membership in both systems and may draw retirement from each system provided that there shall be no duplication of credit for either service earned or salary in the two systems.La.
