§ 833. Joint Committee—Creation

The Joint Committee of the Pilar Barbosa Educational Internships Program is hereby created to be in charge of the implementation and administration of the Program created by this chapter. The Committee shall be constituted by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Floor Leaders of the political parties of both Bodies and the Chairpersons of the Education and Culture Committees of both Bodies. The members of the Joint Committee may appoint another member of the Legislature to substitute them in their endeavor, for all legal purposes, in case of absence. The members shall receive the per diems provided by law for attending legislative sessions and Committee meetings for their participation in the meetings of the Joint Committee. Provided, furthermore, That the decisions of the Joint Committee shall be reached by simple majority.
