§ 34. Salaries and emoluments to members—Mileage

Each legislator shall be entitled to reimbursement for one round trip weekly during legislative sessions, from their respective homes to the Capitol, at a rate of thirty (30) cents per kilometer traveled, but no member of the Legislature shall receive less than twenty dollars ($20) by reason of such reimbursement. He shall likewise be entitled to a similar reimbursement for not more than one (1) trip a week to attend meetings of committees to which he belongs, convened as hereinabove provided when the Houses have not convened in either regular or special session and, when these meetings are convened outside of San Juan, the legislators who attend same shall be entitled to reimbursement of mileage to and from the meeting point of each committee. When the attendance is to meetings of more than one committee during the same week and two or more days have elapsed between the meeting of one committee and the other, the legislator attending shall be entitled to a reimbursement for mileage for the attendance to each committee.
