§ 701. Employment of public school janitors when classrooms are used for competitive tests

The Director of the Office of Personnel of the Government of Puerto Rico is hereby authorized to contract for the services of such public school janitors as may be necessary during days on which competitive tests are held for positions in the public service, if and when they render their services outside their regular working hours as such janitors or public servants. The Director of the Office of Personnel is hereby authorized duly to compensate such janitors under contract for the services rendered by them to the Office of Personnel outside their regular working hours as public employees, in addition to the compensation they receive for their regular working hours. Said compensation shall be computed on the basis of the salary fixed for the position in the Compensation Plan and shall be proportionate to the duration of the service rendered under their contracts. The positions and contracts to which this section refers shall not be subject to the provisions of Act No. 345 of May 12, 1947, as amended.
