§ 83. Determination of priority of death

If a doubt exists as to which of two or more persons respectively entitled to inherit from one another died first, any person alleging the prior death of any one of them shall prove such allegations; and if such proof be not forthcoming, and no special circumstances exist from which to infer such proof, the survival shall be presumed in accordance with such rules as are established by the law of evidence.
