§ 321. Advertisements for new vehicles

(a) It is hereby established that the miles-per-gallon yield for both city and highway, as determined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy, shall be posted in all advertisements for new automobiles, in type not to be less than one-fourth (¼) the size of the name or price of the model.

(b) The Department of Consumer Affairs shall have all the powers which are necessary and convenient to issue regulations and to take administrative action as pertinent to ensure compliance with this section. Not to constitute a limitation, the Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs shall be under the obligation to amend Regulation No. 7231 on Misleading Practices and Advertisements in order to enforce the purposes of this section.
