§ 730. Definitions

For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meaning stated herein, unless another meaning is clearly construed from the context:

(a) Administration. — The Public Housing Administration of Puerto Rico.

(b) Administrator. — The Public Housing Administrator of Puerto Rico.

(c) Department. — The Department of Housing of Puerto Rico.

(d) Family. — Shall have the same meaning it has according to the norms established for the public housing program of the Administration and shall include single eligible persons, family groups and remainders thereof.

(e) HUD. — The Department of Housing and Urban Development of the United States, for its English acronym.

(f) Approved plan =roor =it approved plans. — Plan which consigns the public policy and the necessary regulations which shall govern the conveyance of the deed prepared by the Department and approved by HUD pursuant to the applicable federal regulations, including, but without being limited to the Regulations for the implementation of § 5(h) of the Title Deed Program for Public Housing of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended.

(g) Public housing project =roor =it project. — Project of public housing units developed under the Public Housing Program established by virtue of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended.

(h) Secretary. — Secretary of the Housing Department.

(i) Housing unit. — A structure devoted to residential use of a family that may include the land.
