Rule 12. Oath taking ceremony

The oath taking ceremony for new attorneys shall be set for the nearest possible date after the results of each bar examination are known, taking into consideration the time needed for the Committee on Character to issue its certifications on the conduct and character of the applicants. The ceremony shall be held before the Supreme Court en banc or before one of its divisions, [at] its discretion. The applicants shall wear [academic] gowns when they take the oath. Once their oaths are taken, they shall report to the Clerk’s office to receive their diplomas and sign the roll of attorneys.
