Election perjury is intentionally and knowingly falsely swearing, affirming, declaring or subscribing to any of the following:
(a) Statements in answer to questions put to a person who has been challenged as unqualified to vote.(b) Statements in answer to questions put to a witness concerning the qualifications of any person to vote.(c) Statements contained in any affidavit which is prescribed by chapter 25 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated or any other election law of the state, or which is prescribed in any manner by the secretary of state or any county election officer under the election laws of this state.(d) Statements in answer to questions put by a county election officer or deputy county election officer relating to application for voter registration of any person.(e) Statements in answer to questions put by an election board member to a person asking for voter assistance because of age, visual handicap, lack of proficiency in reading the English language or physical disability.(f) Statements of any witness at an election contest.Election perjury is a severity level 9, nonperson felony.
