Section 4-6-3-9 - Materials obtained under investigative demand; confidentiality(a) All documentary material, answers to written interrogatories, and transcripts of oral testimony that are provided pursuant to an investigative demand shall be kept confidential by the attorney general until an action is filed against a person for the violation under investigation, unless:(1) confidentiality is waived by the person being investigated and the person who has testified, answered interrogatories, or produced documentary material; or(2) disclosure is made by the attorney general to another state or federal attorney general or law enforcement agency for the purposes of cooperation in law enforcement of state or federal laws.(b) All documentary material, answers to written interrogatories, and transcripts of oral testimony that are provided to the attorney general pursuant to an investigative demand issued by another state or federal attorney general or law enforcement agency under similar authority shall be treated as if obtained pursuant to an investigative demand issued by the attorney general under section 3 of this chapter.Amended by P.L. 5-2015, SEC. 5, eff. 4/15/2015.Amended by P.L. 65-2014, SEC. 3, eff. 7/1/2014.As added by Acts1982 , P.L. 20, SEC.9.
