Section 35-46-1-6 - Nonsupport of a spouse(a) A person who knowingly or intentionally fails to provide support to the person's spouse, when the spouse needs support, commits nonsupport of a spouse, a Level 6 felony.(b) It is a defense that the accused person was unable to provide support.Amended by P.L. 158-2013, SEC. 553, eff. 7/1/2014.As added by Acts1976 , P.L. 148, SEC.6.
