(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this Section, no securities, issued by an issuer engaged in or deriving revenues from the conduct of any business or profession, the conduct of which would violate Section 11-14, 11-14.3, 11-14.4 as described in subdivision (a)(1), (a)(2), or (a)(3) or that involves soliciting for a juvenile prostitute, 11-15, 11-15.1, 11-16, 11-17, 11-19 or 11-19.1 of the Criminal Code of 1961 or the Criminal Code of 2012, if conducted in this State, shall be sold or registered pursuant to Section 5, 6 or 7 of this Act nor sold pursuant to the provisions of Section 3 or 4 of this Act.(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) hereof, such securities issued prior to the effective date of this amendatory Act of 1989 may be sold by a resident of this State in transactions which qualify for an exemption from the registration requirements of this Act pursuant to subsection A of Section 4 of this Act.Amended by P.A. 097-1150,§ 845, eff. 1/25/2013.Amended by P.A. 096-1551,§ 2-1125, eff. 7/1/2011.
