Section 7-1045 - EFFECT OF REGISTRATION FOR ENFORCEMENT(1) A support order or income-withholding order issued in another state or a foreign support order is registered when the order is filed in the registering tribunal of this state.(2) A registered support order issued in another state or a foreign country is enforceable in the same manner and is subject to the same procedures as an order issued by a tribunal of this state.(3) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a tribunal of this state shall recognize and enforce, but may not modify, a registered support order if the issuing tribunal had jurisdiction.[(7-1045) 7-1042, 7-1037, added 1994, ch. 207, sec. 2, p. 652; am. and redesig. 1997, ch. 198, sec. 21, p. 567; am. and redesig. 2006, ch. 252, sec. 45, p. 784; am. 2015, 1st E.S., ch. 1, sec. 34, p. 21.]Amended by 2015EX1 Session Laws, ch. 1,sec. 34, eff. 5/19/2015.
