Section 46b-139 - (Formerly Sec. 51-320). Expert medical witnesses; interpreter(a) When any licensed physician or certified or licensed psychologist is summoned to give expert testimony in any juvenile matter, the court shall determine a reasonable fee to be paid to such physician or psychologist in lieu of all other witness fees payable to such physician or psychologist.(b) Any judge of the Superior Court hearing a juvenile matter may call in a competent interpreter to interpret the evidence in any such hearing and each interpreter so necessarily employed shall be paid from funds appropriated to the Judicial Department.
