Section 11 - Acquisition of real property acquired by a municipality or urban renewal agency

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in article fifteen or article fifteen-a of the general municipal law or in any general, special or local law applicable to the sale of real property by a municipality or an urban renewal agency, a municipality or an urban renewal agency may, in addition to employing any other lawful method of utilizing or disposing of any real property and appurtenances thereto or any interest therein owned by such municipality or urban renewal agency or acquired by such municipality or urban renewal agency pursuant to article fifteen or article fifteen-a of the general municipal law, sell, lease for a term not exceeding ninety-nine years, or otherwise dispose of any such real property and appurtenances thereto or any interest therein to the corporation for the effectuation of any of the purposes of an urban renewal program, without public auction, or sealed bids or public notice.
