Section 59-63-85 - Sunscreen use in public schools(A) As used in this section:(1) "School" means a public or charter school.(2) "Sunscreen" means a topical, non-aerosol product regulated by the United States Food and Drug Administration for over-the-counter use for the purpose of limiting ultraviolet light-induced skin damage. Sunscreen does not include prescription medication.(B) Public schools shall not prohibit the possession or personal use of sunscreen.Added by 2023 S.C. Acts, Act No. 21 (SB 256),s 1, eff. 5/16/2023.
