Rule DRJ 3 - CONTESTING COMMISSION DECISION(a)Generally. A judge who seeks to contest a commission decision imposing discipline or recommending retirement must file a notice of contest with the Supreme Court and the commission. The notice must be filed within the time period specified in the decision of the commission as provided in rule 2(b).(b)Form of Notice. The notice of contest must (1) be titled a notice of contest, (2) describe the portions of the decision of the commission that the judge wishes to contest, and (3) name the judge seeking to contest the decision. The notice must be signed by the judge or by counsel. The name, address, and telephone number of the lawyer for any party represented by counsel should be placed on the notice. The residence address and telephone number of the judge seeking to contest the decision should also be included on the notice.Wash. Discip. R. Jud. DRJ 3
