Rule 2 - [Effective 9/1/2024] DefinitionsIn these rules:
a. "Chief Justice" means the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. b. "Presiding Judge" means the presiding judge of an administrative region.c. "Administrative region" means an administrative judicial region created by Section 74.042 of the Texas Government Code.d. "Statutory county court" means a court created by the legislature under Article V, Section 1, of the Texas Constitution, including county courts at law, county criminal courts, county criminal courts of appeals, and county civil courts at law, but not including statutory probate courts as defined by Section 3(ii) of the Texas Probate Code.e.
